Below lies the archived history of Scribus Farsonas compilation of the worlds and conflicts of the Cathedra Sector

Hyceaner lies corewards straddling the border of the Cathedra sector and more civilised neighbouring sectors. The world is covered in inky black oceans with jutting stone spires representing much of its above water landmass. In the deeps of its oceans mechanicum facilities toil endlessly to extract the vast mineral wealth within the world’s bedrock.

The research fane Kapa 27 known more commonly as Raven’s Nest is one of the few surface level facilities present on the world. Straddling rocky outcrops and spires the fane is responsible for testing and developing Astartes orbital vehicles. The spires of this storm wrecked world represent an ideal aerial obstacle course to test machinery on its agility. Interceptor’s and Talon’s would routinely be seen mock dogfighting amongst the waves and stone chasms.

The planet would ultimately declare for the loyalists and would be an unexpected boon to local forces rushing into production the “Storm” family of aircraft. These vehicles would dominate the skies of the Sector and slowly replace the more common battle tanks as a heavy weapon carrier.

The Death Guard Inductii companies would launch an assault upon the world during the third year of the conflict in an attempt to eliminate the aircraft production facilities. Submersible craft would end up dueling mechanicum assets in the briny depths while ironclad surface vessels would bombard suspected production facility locations with depth charges and torpedo’s.

This war in the deep would change even the resolute warriors of the Death Guard and their vessels as the conflict dragged on. Whispers still haunt the docks of ancient corroded vessels emerging from the deep to claim a harvest of men and material untold millennia later.

During the Scouring Hyceaner was one of few worlds that was still reachable once the Tyrants Storm enveloped the Cathedra Sector. It’s extensively combat tested aircraft would be adopted by the newly formed Chapters of Astartes. The world would eventually fade from memory of the wider Imperium along with it’s dominance when it came to testing new technology.
